Frequently Asked Questions

Do you rent mobility equipment like scooters and wheelchairs?

Yes—we offer daily, weekly, and monthly rentals of manual wheelchairs, power scooters, power wheelchairs, hospital beds, and portable oxygen concentrators across the Wichita area.

Can I rent a hospital bed and have it delivered?

Absolutely. We rent hospital beds, adjustable beds, mattresses, bed rails, and over‑bed tables, and provide delivery and setup throughout Wichita.

Are your portable oxygen concentrators FAA-approved for travel?

Yes—nearly all models we carry—such as the Inogen One G5 and EasyPulse 5—are airline‑approved and can fly with you.

What types of power scooters do you offer?

We offer travel scooters, full-size scooters, heavy-duty (≥ 350 lb capacity), and all-terrain scooters for indoor/outdoor use.

How do I choose between a power wheelchair and a scooter?

Power wheelchairs are best for tight indoor spaces and provide full body support; scooters are ideal for longer outdoor excursions and heavier users.

Do you service and repair DME products?

Yes—our in-house technicians can service and repair wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, oxygen equipment, and more.

Can I get assistance with Medicare or insurance?

Yes, though only in-store and in the local Wichita area—we assist with insurance billing and Medicare-approved rental and purchase of durable medical equipment. We do not offer this service for any online item or service purchases, as they are all considered private pay only.

Where are your store locations?

We have two Wichita locations: 3737 W Central Ave and 808 S Hillside St, both open weekdays 8:30 a–6 p, Saturdays 9 a–5 p.

Do you carry incontinence and daily living supplies?

Yes—we offer incontinence briefs, pads (disposable and washable), catheters, bathroom safety gear, grab bars, dressing aids, reachers, and more.

Can I test ride a power scooter before buying?

Of course—visit our store to test scoot around and choose the right model for comfort and handling.

What is a lift chair and who needs one?

A lift chair is a recliner with a powered lifting mechanism to help users stand up or sit down safely. It's ideal for seniors, people recovering from surgery, or anyone with limited mobility.

Do lift chairs recline fully flat?

Some models do—those are called infinite-position lift chairs. They allow full flat recline for sleeping, and can elevate the legs above the heart for circulation support.

Does Medicare cover lift chairs?

Yes, partially. Medicare may cover the lifting mechanism if prescribed. The chair frame and upholstery are not covered. We do not bill any insurance for lift chairs purchased through our website, as they are considered private pay.

Can I try a lift chair in store?

Yes—our showroom in Wichita has lift chairs available to test for size, comfort, and recline style.

What’s the difference between a Hoyer lift and a sit-to-stand lift?

A Hoyer lift fully lifts the user off a surface using a sling, while a sit-to-stand lift helps partially mobile users rise from sitting to standing.

Do patient lifts require professional installation?

Portable and hydraulic lifts do not; ceiling track systems do.

Are patient lifts available for rent?

Yes—we rent standard floor lifts and sit-to-stand lifts, including delivery and training on safe use.

What are daily living aids?

Daily living aids help individuals complete everyday tasks like dressing, bathing, reaching, or eating when mobility is limited.

What are the best tools for independent dressing?

Dressing sticks, button hooks, long-handled shoehorns, and sock aids are essential for dressing independently with limited flexibility or hand strength.

Do you carry reachers or grabbers for people with back issues?

Yes—we have ergonomic and folding reachers in multiple lengths to help reduce bending and strain.
