The Pride VivaLift!® Premier PLR-5900 is Pride's most fully-featured power lift recliner — a true-infinite position chair with Bluetooth audio speakers and cinematic vibration built into the structure, VivaLift!® Tilt for a zero-gravity recline, air bladder massage, heat in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat, independently controlled power headrest, backrest, and lumbar, a hideaway wireless phone charger, USB-A and USB-C ports, a self-leveling cup holder, and a lithium battery backup standard. It's covered in 100% American leather (Sorrento) in Coffee or Eclipse, available in Medium only (5'5"–6'0"), supports 400 lbs., and carries a 7-year pro-rated warranty. The Premier is designed for customers who want a lift chair that replaces a media room recliner — not just a medical device that happens to recline.

Most lift chairs prioritize the lift and recline mechanics, with comfort features as an afterthought. The Premier inverts that — the audio system, cinematic vibration, and VivaLift!® Tilt are the reason this chair exists. The lift function is excellent, but it's not what makes this chair different. What makes it different is that you connect it to your TV or phone via Bluetooth, feel the vibration from explosions in an action film or the crowd noise from a live game, recline into true zero gravity with your knees above your heart, and have your phone charging wirelessly on the armrest while your lower back gets massaged. That's not a medical equipment experience — that's a home theater experience in a chair that also helps you stand up.
The Premier's defining feature is its integrated audio system — speakers are physically built into the chair structure and connect to your TV, phone, or media device via Bluetooth. The audio controls sit in the armrest so you can adjust bass, treble, and volume without reaching for a separate remote. The cinematic vibration function works in conjunction with the audio — the chair produces tactile vibration that corresponds to low-frequency content in what you're watching or listening to, the same principle used in high-end home theater seating. An action sequence, a sporting event crowd roar, heavy bass in music — you feel it in the chair. Pride provides a dedicated audio setup guide at pridemobility.com/vivalift-premier-audio-setup/ for pairing and configuration. About the audio system setup →
VivaLift!® Tilt is Pride's exclusive positioning technology that reclines the chair into a position where your knees are elevated above your heart. This is the same principle behind zero-gravity recline found in high-end furniture — it redistributes weight across the body, reduces pressure on the lumbar spine, improves circulation by removing gravitational stress on the legs, and creates a sensation of weightlessness that most users find deeply restful. The Premier's true-infinite positioning means the backrest and footrest operate independently, so you can dial in the exact angle for Tilt or any other position rather than moving between fixed stops. The hand control includes a dedicated tilt button and a memory button to save your preferred position. About VivaLift! Tilt →
The Premier includes three independently controlled heating pads — in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat — and an air bladder massage system focused on the lower back with three intensity settings. Heat and massage together address the two most common sources of discomfort for extended sitting: muscular tension in the back and shoulders, and stiffness in the lumbar. The air bladder design gently inflates and deflates to create a kneading effect on the lower back without the mechanical vibration of motor-driven massage systems. Combined with the independently adjustable power headrest, backrest, and lumbar support, the Premier gives you precise control over every aspect of how the chair supports your body. About the heat and massage systems →
The Premier includes a hideaway wireless phone charger — it slides out of the arm, you place your Qi-compatible phone on it, and it charges without a cable. USB-A and USB-C ports are also available for wired charging or devices that don't support wireless charging. Storage is built into both arms. The self-leveling cup holder keeps drinks stable through position changes. The magnetic hand control dock holds the remote securely in either armrest pocket so it's always where you left it. The hand control also has a memory button to store your preferred reclining position — press it and the chair returns to that exact setting without manual adjustment. The Premier is also compatible with Pride's VivaLift!® app for additional control options from your phone.
The Premier's standard fabric is Sorrento — 100% American leather in two colors: Coffee (a warm medium brown) and Eclipse (a deep near-black). American leather means the leather is both sourced and processed in the United States, which reflects in the feel, durability, and consistent quality of the material. Both colorways are available to view in person at Broadway Home Medical before ordering.

"There's few other lift chairs that does what this one does — the Bluetooth audio and cinematic vibration genuinely change how the chair feels during a movie or a game. Then you add the zero-gravity Tilt, the heat and massage, American leather, wireless charging, and true infinite positioning, and it's not really in the same category as the other chairs. It's a high-end media room recliner that also lifts you to standing."

Common questions we hear from customers considering the Premier at Broadway Home Medical.
Speakers are built into the chair structure and pair to your TV, phone, tablet, or other media device via Bluetooth — the same way wireless headphones pair to a device. Once paired, audio plays through the chair's speakers. The cinematic vibration function works alongside the audio to produce tactile feedback that corresponds to low-frequency sound content. Audio controls — bass, treble, volume — are in the armrest. Pride provides a detailed setup guide at pridemobility.com/vivalift-premier-audio-setup/ and the staff at Broadway Home Medical can walk you through setup in store.
VivaLift!® Tilt is a positioning mode that reclines the chair so your knees are elevated above your heart — a zero-gravity position. Standard recline simply leans the back away from upright. Tilt changes the geometry of the whole chair so your body weight is distributed differently, spinal pressure is reduced, and circulation in the legs is improved by removing the gravitational load. Many users describe the sensation as feeling nearly weightless. The dedicated Tilt button on the hand control moves the chair into this position; the memory button can store it so you can return to it without manually re-adjusting.
True-infinite positioning means the backrest and footrest operate completely independently from each other. You can raise the footrest without reclining the back, recline the back without raising the footrest, or position each at any angle in any combination. This is distinct from three-position chairs where the back and footrest are mechanically linked. Combined with the independently adjustable power headrest, backrest, and lumbar, the Premier gives you full control over the position of every part of the chair.
The heat system includes three pads — in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat — each separately controlled. The massage system uses air bladders rather than motors: a bladder in the lower back inflates and deflates at three intensity settings to provide a gentle kneading effect without mechanical vibration. The combination of targeted heat and air bladder massage is designed to address common muscle tension and stiffness from extended sitting, particularly in the lower back and shoulders.
Yes — a hideaway wireless Qi charger is built into the arm. Slide it out, set your compatible phone on it, and it charges without a cable. USB-A and USB-C wired ports are also available for devices that don't support wireless charging or for other accessories. The self-leveling cup holder keeps your drink stable as the chair moves through positions.
The PLR-5900 is currently available in Medium only, designed for users 5'5" to 6'0" with a 20.5" seat-to-floor height and a 23" seat width. If you are outside this height range, contact Broadway Home Medical to discuss whether this chair or another model in the VivaLift!® line would be the better fit.
The Premier carries a 7-year pro-rated warranty. Fabric and leather are excluded from warranty coverage. Pride is not responsible for labor, service calls, or shipping costs for repairs. Contact Broadway Home Medical for full warranty terms and details.
