Pride Go Go® Sport 3-Wheel Travel Scooter (S73)

Pride Go Go Sport 3-wheel travel scooter with LED headlight and red panels

The Pride Go Go® Sport 3-Wheel (S73) is Pride's top-tier travel scooter — a step above the Elite Traveller in capacity, speed, range, and Medicare classification. 325 lb. weight capacity, up to 4.7 mph, up to 12.75 miles per charge on standard 18 Ah batteries, 36" turning radius, and a high-intensity LED headlight standard. HCPCS Code K0801 — Group 1, Heavy Duty, which is a distinct Medicare code from the K0800 Standard carried by the Elite Traveller and Ultra X. Feather-touch one-hand disassembly into five pieces with a 35.75 lb. heaviest piece. Delta tiller with charger port, dual charging port, microprocessor controller, both Red and Blue panels included, front basket, under-seat storage, and armrests. Also available in the 4-wheel S74 configuration with Pride's exclusive EZ Turn Technology.

The Sport sits at the top of the Go Go travel scooter lineup and earns it — not just with a higher price tag but with substantive specification increases. The 325 lb. capacity and K0801 Heavy Duty Medicare code address a patient population that K0800-coded scooters can't cover. The standard 18 Ah batteries mean maximum range out of the box without a separate upgrade purchase. The LED headlight is the first in the Go Go travel range. And 4.7 mph is genuinely faster than anything else in the compact travel class. For customers who need more than the Elite Traveller offers, the Sport is the answer without moving into a full-size mobility scooter.

325 lbs. and K0801 Heavy Duty — Who This Scooter Is For

The Go Go Sport is the only travel scooter in the Go Go lineup with a 325 lb. weight capacity and the only one coded K0801 — Group 1, Heavy Duty under Medicare. K0801 is a distinct billing code from K0800 Standard — it applies specifically to patients whose weight or clinical profile qualifies them for a heavy-duty power-operated vehicle under Medicare guidelines. Patients who don't qualify under K0800 may qualify under K0801, and vice versa — they are separate codes with separate eligibility criteria. If your healthcare provider has recommended a heavy-duty scooter or if you're near or above the 300 lb. capacity limit of standard travel scooters, the Sport is the appropriate model. Broadway Home Medical can help you understand the Medicare process for K0801 at either of our Wichita locations. About the K0801 code →

4.7 mph and 12.75-Mile Range — Standard

The Sport's top speed of 4.7 mph is the fastest in the Go Go travel lineup — faster than the Elite Traveller's 4 mph and the Ultra X's 4.3 mph. In everyday use the difference between 4 and 4.7 mph is noticeable on longer stretches of sidewalk or wide indoor venues — the Sport keeps pace more comfortably at a brisk walking speed. The standard 18 Ah batteries (two, 14 lbs. each) deliver up to 12.75 miles per charge on the 3-wheel — more than any other Go Go travel scooter uses as a standard configuration, and without requiring a separate battery upgrade purchase. For users who take long outings or use the scooter for full-day events, this range means charging once overnight is generally sufficient. About range and speed →

LED Headlight Standard

The Go Go Sport is the first model in the Go Go travel lineup to include a high-intensity LED headlight as standard equipment. The LED headlight provides meaningful illumination for low-light indoor environments — large warehouses, parking garages, dimly lit hallways — as well as for outdoor use at dusk or in overcast conditions. It's not a substitute for dedicated nighttime vehicle lighting, but it significantly improves visibility in marginal light conditions where other Go Go travel scooters offer nothing.

"The Sport is the one we reach for when a customer is over 300 pounds, or when their doctor has recommended a heavy-duty classification, or when they just need a travel scooter that does more than the Elite Traveller. The K0801 code opens a different Medicare pathway, the 18 Ah batteries are standard so there's no upgrade conversation, and 4.7 mph is noticeably faster in real use. The LED headlight is a nice practical addition too — the first time a Go Go travel scooter has had one."

Delta Tiller, Dual Charging, and Both Color Panels

Like the Elite Traveller, the Sport uses a delta tiller with a built-in charger port — the ergonomic loop design accommodates a wider range of hand positions and is easier to manage for users with limited grip strength or wrist arthritis. The dual charging port charges the batteries either on-board (via the tiller port) or off-board after removing the battery pack, giving flexibility in where and how you charge. Both Red and Blue interchangeable shroud panel sets are included in the box. Armrests are standard on the seat. Front basket, under-seat storage, and a microprocessor controller complete the standard feature set.

Available Colors

Both Red and Blue panel sets ship in the box — swap without tools at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions — Go Go® Sport 3-Wheel (S73)

Common questions from customers at Broadway Home Medical considering the Go Go Sport 3-wheel.

What is HCPCS code K0801 and how is it different from K0800?

K0801 is the Medicare billing code for Group 1, Heavy Duty power-operated vehicles — scooters with a weight capacity of 301 lbs. or more. K0800 covers Group 1, Standard scooters up to 300 lbs. They are separate codes with separate eligibility criteria. A patient who qualifies clinically for a heavy-duty scooter under K0801 cannot bill for a K0800-coded unit, and vice versa. The Go Go Sport's 325 lb. capacity and K0801 code make it the appropriate choice for patients whose physician has specified a heavy-duty classification. Broadway Home Medical can help you understand K0801 eligibility requirements.

How does the Sport achieve 12.75 miles of range?

The Sport comes standard with two 18 Ah batteries — the same size as the optional upgrade on the Elite Traveller, included here as standard equipment. The larger battery capacity directly translates to longer range per charge. The 3-wheel Sport delivers up to 12.75 miles per charge — more than any other standard configuration in the Go Go travel lineup. This is at maximum weight capacity on a flat surface; actual range varies with user weight, terrain, and battery condition.

How does the Go Go Sport compare to the Elite Traveller?

Both have feather-touch disassembly, delta tiller, dual charging, both color panels, armrests, and K0800/K0801 Medicare codes. The Sport adds: 325 lb. capacity (vs. 300 lbs.), K0801 Heavy Duty code (vs. K0800 Standard), 4.7 mph top speed (vs. 4 mph), standard 18 Ah batteries for 12.75 miles (vs. 7.3 miles on standard 12 Ah), larger 3" tires, and an LED headlight. The Sport is heavier — 35.75 lb. heaviest piece vs. 29.5 lbs. on the Elite Traveller. Choose the Elite Traveller if you're within the 300 lb. capacity and want a lighter disassembled weight. Choose the Sport if you need K0801 classification, more speed, or longer standard range.

The Sport is heavier to transport — is that a problem?

The 3-wheel Sport's heaviest disassembled piece is 35.75 lbs. vs. 29.5 lbs. on the Elite Traveller — a 6 lb. difference. This is the tradeoff for the larger frame, bigger tires, and higher capacity. For users who load the scooter into a vehicle independently, this is worth considering. For users who have assistance for loading, or who use a vehicle lift or ramp, it's less of a factor. The batteries (14 lbs. each) are also heavier than the Elite Traveller's standard 12 Ah pack (9 lbs. each), though the same off-board removal process applies.

Should I choose the 3-wheel or 4-wheel Sport?

The 3-wheel has a tighter turning radius (36" vs. 41.5") and longer standard range (12.75 miles vs. 12 miles), and the heaviest piece is lighter (35.75 lbs. vs. 44 lbs.). The 4-wheel S74 adds Pride's exclusive EZ Turn Technology — a system that provides something close to 3-wheel turning ability while maintaining 4-wheel stability — plus a deck basket. If outdoor stability is the priority, the 4-wheel with EZ Turn is the better choice. If indoor maneuverability and lighter disassembly are the priority, the 3-wheel is right.

Where can I try the Go Go Sport 3-wheel in Wichita, Kansas?

The Go Go Sport is available at Broadway Home Medical, Wichita's largest DME store. Stop by either of our two locations to compare the 3-wheel and 4-wheel Sport in person, and to discuss the K0801 Medicare process if relevant. Our staff can help you determine whether K0801 or K0800 is the appropriate code for your situation.

Pride® FDA Class II Medical Devices are designed to aid individuals with mobility impairments. Speed and range vary with user weight, terrain type, battery charge, battery condition, and tire pressure. Specifications subject to change without notice. HCPCS code K0801 should not be considered legal advice and does not guarantee reimbursement. DME providers are responsible for determining appropriate billing codes. Lifetime warranty on frame; 2-year limited on electronics and drivetrain.
