The Jazzy® Carbon 27X is a vertically folding power wheelchair built around a unique X-frame design and carbon fiber construction — weighing just 27.5 lbs. without the battery while delivering reliable performance for daily use and travel. Its standard 10 AH lithium battery is airline-compliant right out of the box, making it one of the most travel-ready power chairs in its class. Available in Black Cherry and Night Sky.
The Jazzy Carbon 27X uses a vertical folding X-frame design that collapses into a slim, compact bundle — 34" L x 12" W x 30" H folded — making it exceptionally easy to lift, store in a closet, and load into a car trunk. At 27.5 lbs. without the battery, it is one of the lightest full-featured folding power chairs available. Collapsible back handles make lifting and carrying even more manageable for users and caregivers alike.
Yes — unlike many power chairs that require an optional upgrade, the Jazzy Carbon 27X comes standard with an airline-compliant 10 AH lithium battery, making it ready for air travel without any additional purchase. Transport on commercial aircraft is still subject to federal regulations and individual airline policies, so confirm with your airline before flying.
The 27X features an 18" x 18" cushioned seat, a breathable seat back with removable cushion and storage pocket, flip-up armrests for easy transfers, adjustable footrests, a carbon fiber cup holder, and an adjustable lap belt. The programmable joystick controller mounts on either armrest and includes a digital LCD display, USB-C charging port, and puddle light. Under-seat storage is also included.
Optional accessories include a headrest, an attendant control kit, and the Jazzy Travel Bag — which protects the chair during transport and allows it to be towed behind you like luggage.
The Jazzy Carbon 27X is available in Black Cherry and Night Sky.
The Jazzy Carbon 27X is backed by a 5-year limited warranty on structural frame components, a 13-month limited warranty on electronics and drivetrain, and a 13-month limited warranty on batteries.
