Both the XL and XXL include a 2-amp lithium battery backup as standard equipment — it's not an optional upgrade here as it is on the S/M/L. If the power goes out while you're reclined, the backup runs the lift mechanism so you can return the chair to the seated or lift position and stand up safely. A lithium battery holds charge longer and delivers more reliable power than a standard alkaline backup, which is particularly important for users who depend on the chair as part of their daily routine and can't wait for power to be restored before getting up.
The XL and XXL are available in Cosi fabric in Mocha (warm tan-brown) and Gravel (cool grey), and Sta-Kleen vinyl in Chestnut at additional cost.
